How to play BudgetGuessr

Each round is a real project with a real price tag. Look at what was built, decide what it cost, and see how close you got. The blocks below are the actual game pieces, so try them.

01

Look at the project

You get a photo, the country, the year it opened and a sense of scale, like seats, length or height. Everything you need for an educated guess is on the card.

Stuck? Use a hint

The first hint shows a comparable project and what it cost. The second narrows the answer to a range. Hints help, but each one lowers the XP you can earn on that question.

Try it

Open the hints and watch the XP penalty grow.

03

Name your price

Drag the slider or type an amount like 450M or 1.2B. Land within 20% of the real cost for full XP. The further off you are, the less you get.

Other kinds of rounds

Not every round asks for the total. Some ask about the original budget, the overrun, the delay, which of two projects cost more, or the cost per unit.
