How much did Westville Dam cost to build?

Westville Dam is a 560-foot (171 m) long, 78-foot (24 m) high earthfill dam on the Quinebaug River in Southbridge and Sturbridge, Massachusetts, one of six US Army Corps of Engineers flood-control dams in the Thames River basin. With East Brimfield Lake it reduces flood damage in Southbridge and Dudley and in Putnam, Danielson, Jewett City and Norwich, Connecticut, and it has three gated conduits and a chute spillway on bedrock. Work started in April 1960 and finished in August 1962 at a cost of $5.7 million, including relocation of roads and utilities.
