How much did 270 Park Avenue cost to build?
270 Park Avenue, officially JPMorganChase Tower, is the bank's 2.5-million-square-foot global headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners, the 423.1-metre all-electric office tower rises above active rail infrastructure serving Grand Central and replaced the former Union Carbide Building. Construction of the new tower began in 2021, its steel frame topped out in November 2023, and JPMorganChase formally opened it on 21 October 2025. At the opening, CEO Jamie Dimon said the headquarters cost about $4 billion to build; other contemporary reports continued to cite a $3 billion figure, so the page identifies the source and scope of each amount rather than presenting them as interchangeable.
