How much did 50 West Street cost to build?
50 West is a 237.3-metre residential tower in Lower Manhattan developed by Time Equities and designed by JAHN. The project broke ground in June 2008 as a condominium, hotel and retail scheme, then paused during the financial crisis. Financing assembled in 2013 allowed work to resume after the hotel was removed from the programme; the completed tower contains residences, retail, amenities, a rooftop observation deck and a public plaza. Time Equities announced a $600 million development cost at the original groundbreaking, while the later $288 million debt syndication and $110 million equity contribution are shown separately as financing rather than added to that cost.
