How much did 590 Madison Avenue cost to build?
590 Madison Avenue is the former IBM Building at Madison Avenue and East 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan. IBM commissioned Edward Larrabee Barnes and Associates to design the pentagonal office tower, whose chamfered corner opens toward a glass-covered public atrium. Construction proceeded around a steel frame and gray-green granite-and-glass facade; the city records the building as completed in 1982, and IBM formally dedicated it on 4 October 1983.
