What was the original budget of 70 Pine Street?
Completed in 1932 for Cities Service, 70 Pine Street is a 290.2-metre Art Deco tower in Lower Manhattan designed by Clinton & Russell, Holton & George. Its pre-construction price was announced as $7 million, while contemporary coverage described a broader $15 million investment; those figures should not be treated as the same cost scope. The former office building was later converted to residential, hotel and retail use in a separately reported $550 million renovation.
