How much does A9 Sierre East–Visp East completion cost?
The A9 network-completion programme in Upper Valais covers the missing 31.8-kilometre motorway corridor between Sierre East and Visp East. Most sections were open by late 2025, including the 7.6-kilometre Gampel/Steg–Visp West link, while the Riedberg tunnel and the final 8.5-kilometre Sierre–Leuk East section remain to be delivered. The last section crosses the protected Pfyn forest mainly in tunnel or covered cutting and is currently planned to open in 2037.
