How much did Addis Ababa–Djibouti Railway cost to build?

The Addis Ababa–Djibouti Railway is a 752.7-kilometre electrified standard-gauge freight and passenger line linking Ethiopia's capital with the Port of Djibouti. Construction began in 2011 under EPC contracts with CREC and CCECC. Freight service began during 2015, the Ethiopian and Djiboutian sections were inaugurated in October 2016 and January 2017, and official commercial operation began on 1 January 2018. The cross-border railway replaced the deteriorated metre-gauge corridor and is jointly owned by the two governments through their railway companies.
