How much did Autostrada A22 cost to build?
The A22 Brenner motorway links Modena in northern Italy with the Austrian border at the Brenner Pass. Construction began in 1964, the first Bolzano?Trento section opened in December 1968, and the last Chiusa?Bolzano Sud section made the full route continuous on 11 April 1974. The operator measures the motorway at 314 km, including about 31.2 km of bridges and viaducts and 30 one-way tunnels. Its reported construction cost belongs to the original motorway, not to later junctions or the proposed Campogalliano?Sassuolo extension.
