How much did Beetham Tower cost?

Beetham Tower combines a Hilton hotel and 219 apartments at the south end of Deansgate in Manchester. Designed by SimpsonHaugh for the Beetham Organization, the tower rises 168.9 metres to the tip of its glass blade. Work on site began in March 2004; the hotel opened in October 2006 and the apartments reached practical completion in February 2007. A Manchester Business School case study puts the planned mixed-use development budget at around £150 million in 2004 prices. That is an estimate, not a verified final construction account; a separate proposed office building was still awaiting funding in 2007.
