How much does Benara Road duplication cost?
The City of Swan proposed a four-kilometre dual carriageway on the eastern part of Benara Road, from West Swan Road to Danube Avenue in Perth's north-eastern suburbs. The proposal was listed at A$20.3 million in the National Growth Areas Alliance's 2022–23 pre-budget submission, reflecting the city's long-term road-capacity plans for projected traffic above 16,000 vehicles a day. This is a planning estimate, not a construction invoice or evidence that the full corridor was built. The separate Daviot Road/Benara Road roundabout project and Bennett Brook bridge works should not be confused with this four-kilometre proposal.
