How much did BMO Plaza (First Indiana Plaza) cost to build?

BMO Plaza is a downtown Indianapolis office tower at 135 North Pennsylvania Street, originally developed as First Indiana Plaza by Phillip R. Duke and Associates. In May 1986 the developer announced the then-proposed 28-story building as a US$60 million project, before construction began that year; it opened in April 1988. That US$60 million was an advance project estimate, not a verified final construction account. The Council on Vertical Urbanism records an architectural height of 122.2 metres. The tower later took the M&I Plaza and BMO Plaza names; its 2016–2017 lobby and common-area renovation was a separate later project, not part of the 1986 announced building cost.
