What is the financing amount for Bologna tramway network?

Bologna is rebuilding its modern tram network in phases. The long-range mobility plan describes four interconnected lines, but construction in 2026 is concentrated on the Red Line and the northern section of the Green Line; the Blue Line has only early design funding. Italy's PN Metro Plus project register reports approximately EUR 738 million of PNRR and other ministerial funding for those initial works and vehicles, excluding a separate EUR 50.055 million FOI allocation to the Green Line. Within that total it identifies EUR 513.644 million for the Red Line and EUR 222.142 million for the north Green section. These figures are funding allocations, not settled construction outturns or the price of the complete future four-line network. Red Line works began in 2023. In September 2026 the city was preparing the first seven kilometres for testing while work continued on the Green Line.
