Road or highway 路 Australia

How much did Brand Highway cost to build?

Brand Highway links Muchea, north of Perth, with Geraldton in Western Australia. The original coastal route was opened as the Geraldton Highway on 4 April 1975 and was named Brand Highway the following year. A 2003 parliamentary answer described the route as 368 km long. In a 1978 parliamentary answer, Western Australia's transport minister stated that the original highway's total construction cost was A$4.2 million. That historical figure belongs to the initial road, not to later widening, passing-lane or Geraldton-corridor projects along the route.
