What is the financing amount for Brightline?

Brightline Florida is an intercity passenger railway linking Miami and Orlando via Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. South Florida service began in 2018, and the 170-mile extension north to Orlando broke ground in June 2019 before full Miami?Orlando service opened on 22 September 2023. The operator describes the 235-mile Florida route as supported by USD 5 billion in private investment; that is its reported investment figure, not a certified final construction bill or the price of the separate Brightline West project in Nevada and California. The original Florida service is operating, while proposed Tampa and other future stations are separate expansion plans.
