Road or highway 路 Australia

How much did Brighton Bypass cost to build?

The Brighton Bypass is a 9.5-kilometre section of Tasmania's Midland Highway that diverts through traffic around Brighton and Pontville north of Hobart. Construction began in 2009, its southern section opened in December 2010, and the completed northern section including the Jordan River Levee Bridge opened to traffic on 12 November 2012. Tasmanian and Australian government sources describe the completed road as an AUD 191 million project; a state audit separately records an earlier AUD 176 million budget and a later AUD 191.1 million revised budget after the heritage-site bridge enlarged the scope. Those figures concern the bypass, not the separately funded Brighton Transport Hub, and the AUD 191 million is a reported project figure rather than an independently certified final outturn.
