How much did the upgrade of British Columbia Highway 17 cost?

The Highway 91/17 and Deltaport Way upgrade programme rebuilt connections across Delta and Surrey, British Columbia. It added or improved interchanges at Nordel Way, the Highway 91 Connector and River Road, alongside changes at 27B Avenue, Deltaport Way and Highway 17 at 80th Street. The package includes several roads; it is not the construction of all 121 kilometres of provincial Highway 17. An initial 2017 estimate was CAD 245.18 million, increased to a CAD 260.2 million project budget after the design-build procurement in 2019. The province described the completed programme as a CAD 260 million project in September 2023, after the main works finished in late May. Its original plan called for about 15 kilometres of new lanes and interchange ramps across the package.
