What is the expected cost of Cluj-Napoca Metro Line 1?
Cluj-Napoca Metro Line 1 is the first metro line in Romania, a 21 km fully automated line with 19 stations under construction in Cluj-Napoca since a groundbreaking on 5 June 2024, built by a consortium of Gülermak, Alstom and Arcada and financed from European funds and Romania's recovery plan, scheduled to open in 2031. Railway Gazette reported in June 2024 that it is expected to cost 13.7 billion lei.
