What is the cost ceiling for the Divača–Koper second railway track?

The Divača–Koper railway upgrade is the second track of the Divača to Koper line in Slovenia, built by the company 2TDK, with about 27 km of new double-track line, seven tunnels, and a link to the port of Koper. SeeNews reported on 12 March 2026 that Slovenia inaugurated the 1.1 billion euro second track, and RailwayPRO reported on 29 July 2026 that, after a CINEA audit, the total cost of the investment will not exceed 1.15 billion euros.
