What construction cost did Malaysia report for the ECRL 3.0 alignment in 2022?
Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link is a passenger and freight railway connecting Kota Bharu and Port Klang. The transport ministry's December 2022 statement put construction of the 665 km ECRL 3.0 alignment and 20 stations at RM50.27 billion. That is construction cost only: the separate RM74.96 billion total development estimate also includes land, utilities, operating costs and interest during construction.
