What was the European Spallation Source original construction budget in 2013 euro prices?
The European Spallation Source is a neutron-science facility under construction in Lund, Sweden. The European Commission's 2015 founding statutes set a €1.843 billion construction budget in January 2013 prices. That baseline covers capital works and 16 scientific instruments; the separate €810 million initial-operations budget is not part of the playable amount. It should not be mistaken for a current completion estimate.
