The Gerardo Barrios Bypass, officially the Periferico Gerardo Barrios, is the 21 km bypass road around San Miguel in El Salvador on the Pan-American Highway, with 4 bridges including two over the Grande and Taisihuat rivers, built in four phases with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency from late 2019 and inaugurated by President Nayib Bukele on 1 December 2024. Diario El Salvador reported that day an investment of 160 million dollars.
