What is the contract value of IRT Flushing Line 1985–1989 Rehabilitation?

From 1985 to 1989, New York City Transit rebuilt the IRT Flushing Line while trains continued to run. The programme renewed main-line track, repaired concrete and steel structures, improved stations and upgraded ventilation and pumping equipment. An NYCTA-authored capital-program review identifies an $83 million contract; contemporary press accounts often summarized the work at $70 million. Express service returned on August 21, 1989.
