How much does Khurda Road–Bolangir line cost?
The Khurda Road-Bolangir line is the 289 km broad-gauge new railway line under construction by the East Coast Railway in Odisha, India, to connect western Odisha with eastern Odisha, including tunnels such as the 1.77 km tunnel T-2 that broke through in June 2025 and the 1.9 km tunnel T-7 that received a safety system in February 2026. Indian Infrastructure reported in June 2025 and again in February 2026 that its estimated cost is Rs 37.91 billion.
