What investment was approved for the Kunming Metro Line 1 southern extension?

The Kunming Metro Line 1 Southern Extension is the planned 7.3 km elevated extension of Line 1 of the Kunming Metro in Yunnan, China, from Guangdian University to Gongyuan North Road with 3 elevated stations, which would run through with Line 1 phase 2 once built. The National Development and Reform Commission approved it on 25 April 2013 in the near-term construction plan 2013 to 2019 with an investment of 2.395 billion yuan (23.95 yi yuan) planned for 2013 to 2015, but the Chinese Wikipedia article on Line 1, updated in August 2025, still lists it as planned and not yet built.
