Construction began in 2016, revenue service on the Eastside segment between South Bellevue and Redmond Technology began in April 2024, and in January 2026 the Sound Transit board raised the authorized project allocation by 60 million dollars from 3,757,150,000 to 3,817,150,000 to finish the project by the forecast service date.
