What did the Port of Rotterdam Authority estimate for Maasvlakte 2 construction in 2013?
Rotterdam reclaimed land from the North Sea for Maasvlakte 2 and connected its first-stage port infrastructure to road, rail and shipping routes. In its 2013 half-year report, the Port of Rotterdam Authority expected the construction to cost €1.55 billion, €150 million below its earlier estimate. The claim is for the port authority's initial construction, not later phases or the privately built APM and RWG container terminals.
