How much did Xinhai Port cost to build?
Xinhai Port is a roll-on/roll-off passenger and vehicle port on Haikou's coast of the Qiongzhou Strait, built in 2015 as one of the three port areas of Haikou Port, with 16 ferry berths. A passenger hub for the port, built by Hainan Strait Shipping and costing ¥5 billion, began trial operation on 29 November 2023 with 12 ship berths and a design capacity of 35 million passengers and 5.6 million vehicles a year.
