How much did Milan Metro Line 4 cost to build?

Milan Metro Line 4 (M4, the Blue Line) is the fully automated driverless metro of 15 km with 21 stations connecting Linate Airport with San Cristoforo through the city centre, planned from the late 1990s with the first stations once meant for Expo 2015, whose first section from Linate to Dateo opened on 26 November 2022 and which was fully inaugurated on 12 October 2024. Il Post reported on 12 October 2024 that it cost about EUR 2.3 billion, around EUR 130 million per kilometre, as did QuiFinanza in August 2024, against the total estimated cost of about EUR 1.7 billion in Wikipedia.
