How much did North Dakota State Capitol cost to build?

The North Dakota State Capitol in Bismarck is an Art Deco skyscraper of 18 occupied floors and 241 ft 8 in (73.66 m), designed by Joseph Bell DeRemer and William F. Kurke with the Chicago firm Holabird and Root, built after the old capitol burned on 28 December 1930, with Governor George Shafer breaking ground on 13 August 1932 and the tower and legislative wing completed in 1934. Wikipedia says the tower and wing were built between 1931 and 1934 at a cost of USD 2 million, whereas the USD 50 million in its infobox and the earlier snapshot is the cost of a 2006 expansion of the Heritage Center, a separate building.
