How much does Paris — Line 1 — Line 1 extension cost?

The Line 1 extension is a planned eastward extension of the Paris Metro from the Chateau de Vincennes terminus to Val-de-Fontenay, about 5 km with three new stations (Les Rigollots, Grands-Pechers and Val-de-Fontenay) in Montreuil and Fontenay-sous-Bois, now planned for service in 2040 after a first public inquiry failed in 2022. Citoyens.com reported on 17 September 2026 that the cost was reassessed at EUR 1.7 billion at January 2026 economic conditions, up from EUR 1.385 billion four years earlier, as a new public consultation runs from 5 October to 11 December 2026.
