How much does Santiago Metro Line 7 cost?
Santiago Metro Line 7 is a new 26-km driverless underground line with 19 stations linking Renca with Vitacura through Cerro Navia, Quinta Normal, Santiago, Providencia and Las Condes, cutting the trip between the ends from about 72 to 37 minutes. Chile's transport ministry announced the start of works on 17 February 2022 with an investment of USD 2,528 million and opening at the end of 2027, and by August 2026 LOS40 reported 42 percent progress with the same investment figure and opening now expected in late 2028 after delays including the abandoned tunnel-boring machine.
