The Sha Tin to Central Link is the Hong Kong MTR rail project, the Tuen Ma line east section and East West Corridor, which became the city's most expensive rail project. The Standard reported on 28 February 2020 that its cost was estimated to increase by 12.17 billion Hong Kong dollars to 82.99 billion, compared with an earlier projection of 97.2 billion that MTR Corporation had estimated in December 2017.
