How much does Shanghai — Airport Contact Line cost?
The Shanghai Airport Link Line (机场联络线) is a regional railway of about 68.6 km with 9 or 10 stations that links Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 with Pudong International Airport and Shanghai East Station at up to 160 km/h, run by Shanghai Municipal Regional Railway Operation Co. Construction of the western section began on 28 June 2019 and the eastern section on 28 June 2020; the first section from Hongqiao Terminal 2 to Pudong Terminals 1 and 2 opened on 27 December 2024, with the section to Shanghai East Station planned for the end of June 2027. Chinese Wikipedia gives total investment of CNY 43.911 billion, while earlier snapshots and a search headline say about CNY 48 billion.
