What project value did New South Wales report for Sydney Gateway at its 2024 opening?

Sydney Gateway created a toll-free road connection between the St Peters Interchange, Sydney Airport and Port Botany. At its August 2024 opening, the New South Wales government described it as a A$2.6 billion project, with five kilometres of new motorway, twin arch bridges and a flyover to the domestic terminals. The published project figure covers the Gateway road works, not the separate WestConnex motorway programme or Port Botany rail duplication.
