How much does Tel Aviv Metro cost?

The Tel Aviv Metro is a planned 150 km underground heavy-rail network of three lines (M1, M2, M3) with about 109 stations under the government company NTA, in two stages: Stage 1 of 78 km and 59 stations and Stage 2 of 74 km and 50 stations. Engineering News-Record reported in February 2026 that the project is USD 40 to 50 billion, with reviews putting the total closer to USD 49 billion, that the Infra 1 civil-works procurement was in pre-qualification with submissions due 29 April 2026, and that initial operations are targeted for 2037. Nothing has been built yet.
