How much does West London Orbital cost?

The West London Orbital is a proposed London Overground route of about 11 miles (17 km) between Hendon and Hounslow along existing freight lines, with up to six trains an hour, four new stations (Old Oak Common Lane, Neasden, Harlesden and Lionel Road) and upgrades at Brent Cross West and Hendon. Time Out reported in January 2026 that it was expected to cost between £430 million and £610 million, with trains running in the early 2030s if approved, and TfL, four boroughs and the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation have agreed up to £6.65 million to develop it; it was said to support 25,000 homes and 11,500 jobs.
