How much did Western Freeway cost?

The Western Freeway (Metroad 5) is a 5 km freeway in western Brisbane from Milton Road in Toowong to the Centenary Motorway in Indooroopilly, opened in three sections on 31 August 1970, 24 May 1979 and 19 December 1984. The only cost figure found relates to the Toowong Bicycle and Pedestrian Overpass built beside it in 2008–2009, a fifteen-span composite bridge linking the Western Freeway Cycleway to Mt Coot-tha Road, reported at A$5.4 million. No construction cost for the freeway itself could be found.
