Stadium · Netherlands

How much did the original AFAS Stadion cost to build?

AFAS Stadion is AZ Alkmaar's football ground in Alkmaar, Netherlands. The venue opened in August 2006 as the 17,023-seat successor to Alkmaarderhout. After part of the roof collapsed in August 2019, AZ commissioned a complete replacement roof and broader stadium upgrade; the renewed stadium opened in 2021 with capacity increased to about 19,500 spectators. It remains AZ's home ground.
