How much did Allianz Riviera cost to build?
Allianz Riviera is a multifunctional stadium in Nice built for OGC Nice under a 30-year public-private partnership. Construction began on 1 August 2011, the keys were delivered on 29 August 2013, and the first match followed on 22 September. The City of Nice now lists 36,178 seats, while the original partnership contract specified 35,624. A regional public-audit report records €211 million excluding VAT as the final initial investment including the integrated National Sports Museum, compared with a €165.8 million 2009 appraisal; it identifies €203 million excluding the museum. The stadium's timber-and-metal envelope carries a translucent membrane, 7,000 square metres of solar panels, and rainwater-storage basins serving the pitch and surrounding landscaping.
