How much did the rebuild of Beaver Stadium cost?
Penn State moved and rebuilt New Beaver Field at the present University Park site after the 1959 season, opening Beaver Stadium on 17 September 1960. The university puts that original relocation and rebuild at $1.6 million and the opening-day capacity at 46,284 seats. A separate $93 million expansion in 2001 added a south upper deck and suites. In 2024 the trustees approved up to $700 million for a new multiyear revitalization, planned to finish before the 2027 football season; that figure is a budget, not a final construction cost.
