How much did the Billings Logan airport terminal expansion cost?
The 2019–2024 Terminal Expansion Project at Billings Logan International Airport in Montana rebuilt the A and B concourses while the airport continued operating. It added a larger passenger-screening area, new gate and waiting spaces, a central Great Room, concessions and an entry lobby. Work broke ground on 23 September 2019; Concourse A opened in June 2022, and the airport celebrated completion of Concourse B in April 2024. The City of Billings described the whole terminal programme at the time as a roughly US$60 million project. Its approved FY2024–FY2028 capital plan listed a more precise US$62.99 million total project estimate, including design and construction; neither figure is an audited final account. The finished terminal has about 220,000 square feet of total floor space, nine gates and eight jet bridges. These sums are for the modern terminal expansion, not for construction of the original airport that opened in 1928 or a later ticket-counter remodel.
