How much did the Logan Modernization Project cost?
Boston Logan opened as Boston Airport in 1923. The playable $4.4 billion figure refers specifically to the Logan Modernization Project, a roughly 400-project airport-wide capital program substantially completed by 2005, not the cost of building the original airfield. Later terminal, rental-car, roadway and runway investments are separate projects, not additions to that historical program.
