How much was invested in the Boundary Dam Unit 3 carbon-capture retrofit?

At SaskPower's Boundary Dam Power Station near Estevan, Saskatchewan, the existing coal-fired Unit 3 was rebuilt and fitted with a commercial-scale carbon-capture system. Construction began in 2011 and the integrated system officially opened on 2 October 2014. SaskPower describes an approximately C$1.5 billion investment in this retrofit, including a C$240 million federal contribution. Unit 3 produces about 115 MW and the capture system was designed to capture up to one million tonnes of CO2 annually. The original power station opened in 1959; the 2014 retrofit figure is not the cost of building that station or a dam.
