How much did Brăila Bridge cost to build?
The Brăila Bridge, the Danube suspension bridge near Brăila, Romania, is a 1,974.3 m bridge with a 1,120 m main span and towers of 192.64 m, built by Webuild and IHI from 2018 and opened in July 2023 about a year and a half late, with official acceptance only on 27 June 2025. Europa Liberă România wrote in August 2025 that the bridge, with its access roads, cost about 700 million euros, nearly 340 million of it European money.
