What did it cost to build Charles Schwab Field Omaha before later upgrades?
Charles Schwab Field Omaha, originally TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, is a baseball stadium in downtown Omaha built for the Men's College World Series. Its operator, the Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority, says construction began in 2009 and the venue opened in 2011. The stadium's own site reports a $131 million original construction cost, of which $43 million was donated by private supporters. The site describes seating for about 24,000; its later $6.5 million scoreboard upgrade is separate from the original build.
