What life-cycle cost did NASA project for its Double Asteroid Redirection Test?

NASA launched DART in 2021 to test whether striking an asteroid could alter its motion. A 2022 inspector-general review projected a $330.6 million life-cycle cost for the mission, not merely its launch contract or Johns Hopkins APL contribution. DART later hit Dimorphos on 26 September 2022; the quoted amount remains the earlier mission projection rather than a final audited outturn.
