How much did the expansion of Estadio Fiscal de Talca — 2017–2019 expansion cost?
Talca's Estadio Fiscal opened in 1930, but this cost question covers its 2017–2019 expansion rather than the original stadium or its 2010–2011 rebuild. Chile's Ministry of Public Works added north and south end stands, a connecting roof and circulation ring, public facilities and access improvements, roughly doubling capacity from 8,300 to 16,000 spectators. Its Architecture Directorate reported a CLP 7.875 billion regional-government investment during construction, and the ministry described the investment as close to CLP 8 billion when the expansion was formally inaugurated on 9 April 2019. Those are rounded reports of the same phase, not additive costs. The image shows the expanded stadium in 2024, before a separate 2025 upgrade.
