London Gatwick Airport, which opened in its present form on 30 May 1958, is the airport south of London whose largest building project of the 1980s was the GBP 200 million North Terminal, work on which began in the 1980s and which the Queen opened in 1988, as recorded by GATCOM, the airport's consultative group, and the Wikipedia article. Later works include the GBP 110 million Pier 6 started in June 2003 within a GBP 850 million BAA investment programme and a GBP 44 million inter-terminal shuttle completed in July 2010.
