How much did Hong Kong International Airport cost to build?
Hong Kong International Airport is the airport on the reclaimed island of Chek Lap Kok off Lantau, which opened on 6 July 1998 replacing Kai Tak Airport in one night and was the cornerstone of the ten-part Airport Core Programme that also built the Airport Railway, the Lantau Link, the Western Harbour Crossing and the North Lantau Expressway. Bechtel calls the programme a 10-part, 20 billion dollar infrastructure development, and Wikipedia gives its final cost as 160.2 billion Hong Kong dollars, against an early estimate of over 200 billion.
